Warsow maps
Warsow’s maps (around 60) can have jumpers giving the player a speed and a direction, and ramps giving more speed. The main maps played in instagib mode are :
- Funpark (or wcal1) : Funpark is the most played map of the game. However, it doesn’t stand out in “race” mode neither in some “non-intagibles” modes. A central jumper is surrounded by a squared arena, where players can gain speed. Built on 2 stories, this map requires a high level of jumping skills to easily jump from one to the other.
- Bipbeta2: Mainly played in “intagible Clan Area” mode (ICA), Bipbeta2 is a map where everything is tuned for speed. Two jumpers allow the player to reach record speeds, higher than 2000 (a pleyer’s speed without bunny-jumping is 300 ). Very appreciated by Warsow’s fans, it requires a lot of experience on expert servers.
- 13vast: Mainly played in “intagible capture the flag” mode (ICTF), 13vast places jumpers for the player, so that he can quickly move from one end of the map to the other, sniping and defense spots. The map is composed of three islands, one at Alpha, another at Beta, and a third, in the middle, for the 2 teams. Author : Stefan Scholz “aka sst13 / [FDK]Railraver”
- Face: medium size map, where two towers face each other. The two teams have to catch the adverse flag in the other tower. Because of the height of the towers, and the only one and tight passage between them, this map is a must for snipers. Author : “-⇒ Karaczan ⇐-”
- Speedyctf: Medium size map, on two stories where the players have to catch the adverse flag. The two camps are relatively close from each other, so you need to be quick. Jumpers allow the players to jump very high in the map. Author : Agent Orange.
- Padshop: Mainly played in “intagible team deadmatch or clan area” mode (ITDM or ICA), it recreates the atmosphere of a PC game teenager fan’s bedroom. A rocket lets the player travelling to Mars, or when entering computer screens, the player founds himself in famous video games.. - Padgarden: Mainly played in “intagible team deadmatch or clan area” mode (ITDM ou ICA), this map is a home garden, a bit messy, where, as in padshop, the players, small, toy sized, evolve. The mess and the elevated spots make this map a snipers’ favorite.. Author : ENTE (Andreas Endres)
- Padkitchen: Mainly played in “intagible team deadmatch or clan area” mode (ITDM or ICA), this map is a kitchen where the players run in the heights (lamps, shelves) and even in the underground (tubes). Its numerous shortcuts, jumpers and its relative accessibility make this map quite versatile. Author : ENTE (Andreas Endres)
- Noiz: Big map, almost exclusively played on the big german server. It was designed for games from 30 or more players. It offers many sniping spots and also tight corridors. Very colorful, filled with teleportation gates, in a near psychedelic style, this map requires a lot of concentration.
